Gather round everyone who’s seen last week’s episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty and is well aware that Belly and Jeremiah’s wedding has been called off / she’s officially flying to Paris. Apparently, there was an Easter egg revealing her Parisian plans alllll the way back in Season 3, episode 1.
Remember when Jeremiah and Belly were chilling at college in probably the happiest phase of their relationship? The song “Open Arms” by SZA ft. Travis Scott played, which fully features the lyric “C’est la vie, go to Paris.” And Jenny hopped onto Instagram Stories to confirm this was, in fact, an Easter egg for Belly’s ultimate decision, writing, “Easter egg from the first episode of the season.”
Obsessed.
Obviously, we still have a few more episodes of the season left, so the whole “Team Conrad vs Team Jeremiah” question is still up in the air. But it looks like things could turn dramatic considering the show has once again asked viewers to “act normal.”
“The show isn’t real but the people playing the characters are,” they posted ahead of episode 8. “The summer we started acting normal online.”
FYI, they also re-posted community guidelines saying, “We have a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech. If you engage in any of the following you will be banned: hate speech or bullying, targeting our cast or crew, harassing or doxxing members of the community. Cousins is our safe place. Everything good, everything magical. Let’s keep the conversation kind this summer.”
