Wells Fargo Center officially becomes Xfinity Mobile Arena in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — The Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia officially became Xfinity Mobile Arena Tuesday.

The signs were unveiled during an event at 11 a.m.

The venue, which opened in 1996, has had numerous names, and is also home to the Flyers and 76ers.

College basketball, countless concerts and other events also happen there.

Fans who visit the arena will have access to high-speed Wi-Fi, so you’ll have an easier time posting to social media in real time, without delays.
