                    State officials said Tuesday afternoon that blizzard conditions overnight could lead them to close a portion of Interstate 35. We aren't expecting new snowfall, but wind gusts over 50 mph will blow existing snow around, potentially creating whiteout conditions and significant drifting.    A spokesperson for the Iowa State Patrol did not say which part of the interstate could be closed. Several agencies, including the State Patrol and Iowa DOT, will be monitoring the weather and will announce closures as those decisions are made. Authorities are asking people to stay off the roads when the wind picks up. There is a high wind warning from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday for more than three dozen Iowa counties. That warning includes Polk County and includes every county north to the Minnesota border and west to the Nebraska border.
